Kamrup Metro Schools to Reschedule Exams During Ambubachi Mela
Dipika Choudhury, Inspector of Schools, Kamrup (M), has directed all schools in Kamrup Metro district to avoid scheduling examinations from June 22 to 26, 2024, due to the upcoming Ambubachi Mela. The directive, based on instructions from the District Commissioner, aims to prevent inconvenience for students amid the expected influx of devotees in Guwahati.
The Ambubachi Mela, an annual festival attracting pilgrims nationwide, will increase the number of visitors significantly. To avoid logistical challenges for students, school authorities must reschedule any exams planned during these dates.
Choudhury emphasized the importance of this preventive measure to ensure a conducive environment for students during exams. Schools are urged to promptly inform students and parents of any changes, allowing them to adjust their preparation plans. This directive aims to minimize disruptions and alleviate pressure on public services during the festival.
