Karimganj Extends School Closures Amid Severe Flooding

Due to rising water levels in the Longai and Kushiyara rivers from continuous heavy rainfall, the Karimganj district administration has extended the closure of all educational institutions until June 22. Despite the closures, previously scheduled examinations will proceed as planned. This precautionary measure, under Section 30(2)(v) of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, aims to ensure student safety as many schools are submerged.
