Kaziranga Faces Water Crisis Amid Prolonged Drought

Kaziranga National Park is experiencing a severe water shortage due to a prolonged dry spell and low rainfall. Key water sources like the Brahmaputra River and southern streams have dried up, affecting over 300 wetlands. Rhinos, elephants, and buffaloes are struggling, with some animals venturing into human areas in search of water. The situation has led to rising wildlife distress and increased risks of disease and human-animal conflict. Environmentalists urge immediate water conservation measures.
