Kaziranga to Get 35-km Elevated Corridor for Safe Animal Movement

Kaziranga National Park will introduce a 35-km elevated corridor across nine animal corridors to prevent vehicle hits and ensure safe wildlife movement, especially during floods. With 5,000–6,000 vehicles using the highway daily, animals—particularly deer and elephants—face frequent risks. Authorities confirm similar projects succeeded in other parks, with strict construction guidelines to protect wildlife. The National Highways Authority of India will build the corridor using updated technology.
