Police have arrested Amrin Akhtar Laskar, the key accused in the Panjabari minor abuse case, from Cachar, while her son has been detained by Dispur Police. Another accused, Baharul Haque Laskar, an engineer with the Brahmaputra Board, is still absconding. The case drew public outrage after a minor domestic worker was allegedly confined inside a box bed.
