Labourer Killed in Wild Elephant Attack in Guwahati

Guwahati: A 40-year-old labourer, identified as Ajay Das from Tamulpur, was killed in a wild elephant attack at Satgaon, Narengi, on Thursday night. The elephant reportedly broke into his makeshift hut while he was asleep, dragged him outside and trampled him to death. Police and Forest Department officials recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem examination. An investigation is underway.
