Assam, Japan to Strengthen Partnership Despite PM Visit Cancellation

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said cooperation with Japan remains on track despite the cancellation of Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi’s proposed visit to the state. Following a discussion with Japan’s Ambassador to India, the Chief Minister said both sides agreed to expand collaboration in electronics, semiconductors, infrastructure, manufacturing and entrepreneurship, reaffirming their commitment to strengthen ties under India’s Act East Policy.
