Land Approved for Medical College in Mangaldai

Assam Governor approved the reservation of 146 bighas of village grazing reserve land in Mangaldai for establishing a medical college and hospital, as assured by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

In exchange, an equal area of government land will be reserved in Hetou Chapori and Chaulkhowa villages. The initiative, supported by MP Dilip Saikia and MLA Basanta Das, aims to meet longstanding demands for a medical institution in the area.
