Landslide Kills Two, Traps Several in Dima Hasao Road Project

A landslide at a highway construction site on Hangrum Road in Dima Hasao killed two workers and injured five others around 11 AM today. Heavy rains triggered the collapse, damaging four houses and five shops. Ten more people are feared trapped. The deceased have been identified as Feron Tiga (38) from Lakhimpur and Guajengambe Nriame (65) from Hangrum. Two critically injured persons were shifted to Haflong Civil Hospital. Authorities have urged people to avoid the site.
