Landslides Threaten Road Link Between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh

Dibrugarh, Assam: Heavy rainfall triggered landslides at three locations along National Highway 315(A), severely damaging the road connecting Dibrugarh with Arunachal Pradesh’s Tirap district. Authorities fear the highway could be cut off completely if conditions worsen.

A night traffic ban remains in force on the affected Jeypore–Kathalguri stretch, while safety barricades have been installed. Officials have urged commuters to travel with caution as continuous monsoon rains pose further risks.
