Lightning Strikes Claim Lives of Two Minors in Assam’s Cachar District

Tragedy befell Ganganagar village, part-II under the Sonai revenue circle in Assam’s Cachar district as two minors, aged 14 and 17, lost their lives to a lightning strike at 2 pm on Thursday. Two other minors sustained injuries and were promptly taken to the nearest hospital for medical attention. Sources from the District Disaster Management Authority confirmed the incident and assured that the families of the deceased would receive ex-gratia assistance within the next two days.
