A sense of mystery envelops Guwahati’s Ganeshguri area following the disappearance of Partha Purkayastha, a 35-year-old man described as short with a medium complexion and black hair. Last seen wearing blue jeans and a white shirt, Purkayastha vanished after a trip to Ganeshguri market on Monday evening. Concerned family members reported his absence to Bhagaduttapur Police Outpost, initiating a search operation. Purkayastha’s employment at SSB Automobiles Pvt Ltd and a past encounter with unidentified individuals in February add layers to the investigation, with suspicions arising over his sudden disappearance. Additionally, another case of a missing married woman from Narengi further deepens concerns, prompting a separate police inquiry initiated from Noonmati Police Station.
