Man Arrested for Forgery and Embezzlement at Guwahati Bank

A man from Bihar was arrested for forging a signature and embezzling ₹4.8 lakh from an Axis Bank branch in Rajgarh, Guwahati.

Victim Rituparna Kalita reported the unauthorized transaction after receiving a mobile alert. Police investigations revealed the suspect, Singh, forged the cheque and attempted to deposit it.

The accused, now in custody, faces charges under multiple sections, including BNS 303(2) and 340(2).
