Man Arrested for Wife’s Murder in Karimganj Amid Family Dispute and Allegations

A gruesome murder incident took place in Karimganj, where a man allegedly killed his wife with a sharp weapon. The brutal act occurred in Jabainpur village near Chargola on Sunday morning. Abdul Sayed, the accused, stabbed his wife, Jaba Begum, over a family dispute. Married for approximately 17 years and mother to two sons and a daughter, Jaba Begum’s tragic death followed a heated argument.

Following the incident, Karimganj police arrested Abdul Sayed at the crime scene. The husband’s family accused Jaba’s brother of foul play, suggesting involvement in the murder. It was revealed that Abdul Sayed had been struggling with mental health issues since the beginning of their marriage.

The Karimganj Police registered a case against Abdul Sayed, his uncle, and other implicated individuals. The victim’s body was sent to Karimganj Civil Hospital for a postmortem examination.
