Man Detained with Live Bullets at Assam Swearing-In Venue

A man was detained on Tuesday from the swearing-in venue of the new Assam government at Veterinary College Field in Khanapara after a few rounds of live bullets were recovered during security screening.

Police said no weapon was found on him, and he was taken to Basistha Police Station for questioning. The incident occurred shortly before Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya administered the oath to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and the new Council of Ministers.
