LPG Shortage Hits Nagaon as Consumers Face Delay in DAC Numbers

Nagaon district is facing a severe shortage of domestic LPG cylinders as many consumers are not receiving Delivery Authentication Code (DAC) numbers on time despite completing registration.
Consumers alleged that delays of 10-15 days have disrupted cylinder supply, while gas agencies said they cannot deliver cylinders without DAC generation. Reports of black market sales have also surfaced, with cylinders allegedly being sold for Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,000 against the official price of Rs 985.
