Managing Director of Singhaniya Group Arrested in Financial Fraud Case

Karimganj police have arrested Hemant Kumar Gogoi, Managing Director of Singhaniya Group and owner of Pragjyotish Group, in connection with a large-scale financial fraud. Gogoi was apprehended in Guwahati’s Paltanbazar for allegedly masterminding a scheme involving multiple money marketing companies that deceived thousands by promising fake loans. The fraudulent company collected Rs 2,000 each from around 2,000 individuals, promising loans of Rs 25,000. Gogoi faces multiple charges, including pending cases in Meghalaya, Cachar, and Hailakandi districts. The police continue to investigate the full extent of the scam.
