Manas National Park Closes to Tourists for Three Months Due to Adverse Weather

Manas National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, will be closed to tourists for the next three months due to adverse weather conditions, as decided by park authorities to ensure the safety of visitors and wildlife. Initially, tourist jeep safaris were halted on June 5, but the period was extended until June 20. The park will reopen in October when conditions improve. During the 2023–24 tourism year, the park generated Rs 1.3 crore in revenue and attracted 50,000 domestic and 2,000 foreign tourists.
