Manipur Jail Warder Arrested for Allowing Illegal Mobile Use by Inmates

Manipur Police arrested a warder of Manipur Central Jail for allegedly facilitating illegal use of mobile phones by inmates, including those booked under the UAPA.

Police said multiple mobile phones and SIM cards were seized, and preliminary investigation points to financial transactions through the warder’s UPI account. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway to identify others involved.
