Massive Cash Recovery in Anti-Corruption Sting Operation

In a significant anti-corruption operation, a total of Rs. 79,87,500 in cash was seized from the residence of Jayanta Goswami, an Executive Engineer of the Public Health Engineering (PHE) department in Guwahati. Goswami was apprehended after accepting Rs. 20,000 in bribe money from a complainant. The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption conducted the operation, revealing the extent of corruption within the department. Goswami, stationed at North Lakhimpur Circle, faces severe repercussions for his actions.
