MDMA and cocaine seized, two detained in Guwahati

On Thursday night, the East Police District and the Crime Branch, Guwahati, broke a massive narcotics ring that was operating out of an apartment in Guwahati. Two people were also taken into custody by the police.

The police team raided the “Ganpati Enclave” apartment block in Guwahati’s Hengerabari area in response to a tip.

Psychotropic materials thought to be 33 g of cocaine and 11.64 g of MDMA (methylenedioxymethamphetamin, also referred to as Molly or Mandy in crystal form) were taken from the drug dealers’ hands during the operation.

Digbijoy Navis, aka Diki, and Kundan Thakur have been identified as the two suspects that were arrested.
