Methamphetamine Tablets Worth Over ₹68 Crore Seized in Cachar; Two Arrested

Cachar: Security forces have seized more than 3.8 lakh suspected methamphetamine tablets valued at over ₹68 crore in two separate anti-narcotics operations in Cachar district, arresting two alleged drug peddlers.

In the first operation, Assam Rifles, Assam Police and Customs officials recovered around 1.5 lakh tablets from a truck near Lalpani. In a separate operation at Shivpur under Lakhipur police station, police recovered another 2.3 lakh tablets from a concealed compartment of a truck and arrested the driver, identified as Sahir Hussain Choudhary.
