Minister Kaushik Rai Reviews Preparations for Amit Shah’s Nathanpur Border Visit

Ahead of Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s proposed visit to Nathanpur near the India–Bangladesh border on February 21, Cabinet Minister Kaushik Rai conducted an on-site inspection to review arrangements for the Vibrant Villages Programme (VVP).

Accompanied by the Cachar Deputy Commissioner, SSP, and senior officials, Rai assessed infrastructure and logistical preparations and held discussions with BSF personnel. The visit highlights the Centre’s focus on border village development through the VVP, which aims to improve infrastructure, connectivity, livelihoods, and security in border areas.
