Minister Pijush Hazarika Inspects Erosion-Hit Kokradanga, Assures Protection

Water Resources Minister Pijush Hazarika inspected erosion-hit Kokradanga in South Salmara-Mankachar, where 400 metres of land were lost to the Brahmaputra.

He said geo-megatubes and bags are being installed to protect 500 metres of the embankment, assuring stability within 15 days. Hazarika also warned against illegal encroachments, linking them to Assam’s demographic concerns.
