Missing Girls from Assam Found in Bihar, Allegations of Police Inaction Surface

Two girls who went missing from Mariani in Assam’s Jorhat district have been rescued in Bihar, reportedly by their family members. The girls were found while traveling from Bangalore and returned to West Bengal’s Siliguri with their respective guardians. The guardians allege that no assistance was provided by the police in this incident. The father of one girl claimed to have seen a youth named Biki alias Huzel Ahmed inside the moving train. The identities of the rescued girls are yet to be ascertained. This comes after earlier reports of three girls going missing from the same location. In a separate incident, police rescued three minor girls in Guwahati who were reported missing since last Saturday.
