Mother and Son Electrocuted in Assam Due to Negligent Power Department

In a tragic incident in Assam’s Orang, 30-year-old Akhtara Khatun and her son, Saqib Ahmed, lost their lives after coming into contact with a fallen 11,000-volt electric wire. The boy was electrocuted, and his mother died while trying to save him. Local authorities, including Majbat revenue officer Pranjal Barua, sent the bodies for post-mortem. NEMSU President Badrul Islam has demanded the suspension of the responsible electricity department staff and called for murder charges.
