Mother Arrested in Margherita Child’s Death

A mother has been arrested for her alleged involvement in the death of her 5-year-old son, who went missing and was later found dead in Margherita. Police became suspicious after learning a servant was present when the child disappeared. Further investigations revealed the mother had traveled with the boy but returned alone. The motive for the crime is still unknown. The child’s body was found in the Burhi Dihing River on October 14, three days after he went missing during Durga Puja.
