Murder in Digboi Sparks Protests, Violence on NH-38

Tension erupted in Digboi after the alleged murder of Akash Tiwari in Pawai. Police suspect he was deliberately run over by a truck following a quarrel between two groups.

The main accused, Akash Singh, later surrendered and is in police custody. The incident triggered massive protests, with locals blocking NH-38, burning vehicles, and clashing with police.
