N. F. Railway Reports Steady Growth in Freight Unloading

N. F. Railway (NFR) has shown consistent growth in freight unloading, with 1130 freight-carrying rakes unloaded in April 2024. The goods transported include essential items like FCI rice, sugar, salt, as well as other commodities like cement, coal, and vehicles. Notably, 540 rakes were unloaded in Assam, with a significant portion carrying essential commodities. Similar operations were conducted in Tripura, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, and Mizoram. Furthermore, NFR facilitated unloading in West Bengal and Bihar. This robust operation aims to meet the essential needs of the populace while stimulating local economic activity. Advanced terminal handling facilities and efficient monitoring have enhanced unloading efficiency, reducing turnaround time and benefiting stakeholders.
