Naga Groups Condemn Attack on Farmer, Initiate Road Blockade in Protest

Several Naga organizations condemned the shooting of Kanshok Horam, a Naga farmer allegedly attacked by suspected Kuki assailants in Imphal East, Manipur. In response, the groups initiated an indefinite blockade on the Ukhrul-Imphal road starting midnight on November 11. The organizations, including Southern Tangkhul Students’ Union and Tangkhul Naga Valley Students’ Association, denounced the assault as a “vicious act of violence.” They urged authorities to act swiftly to maintain peace and called for unity among communities to prevent further violence in the region.
