Nagaland Assembly Passes ₹24,699.83 Crore Budget for 2025-26

The Nagaland Assembly passed the ₹24,699.83 crore state budget for 2025-26 by voice vote. Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, who also holds the finance portfolio, introduced the budget, which includes key initiatives such as the Skill Mission for youth employment, the Living Morung Initiative to preserve Naga culture, a Solar Power Mission, and a Drone Training Centre. Other projects include expanding banking access, a fellowship program for leadership development, adding 40 new buses, and boosting infrastructure in border areas.
