Nagaland Tax Revenue Rises 11.9% to ₹1,597 Crore

Nagaland’s tax revenue grew by ₹170.47 crore to ₹1,597.51 crore in 2025-26, marking an 11.9% increase from the previous year.
GST remained the largest contributor, generating ₹1,181.88 crore, or around 74% of total collections. At a review meeting, officials highlighted challenges including manpower shortages, IT infrastructure needs and tax evasion.
The state has set a target of ₹2,400 crore in tax revenue by 2030, with Governor Nand Kishore Yadav stressing the need for stronger compliance, transparent administration and improved revenue collection.
