Nagaon Police Bust Illegal Kidney Trade Racket; Three Arrested

Nagaon Police have arrested three people involved in an illegal kidney transplant racket in Hoojgaon village after a sustained investigation. Two more suspects have been identified as part of the network. Villagers were reportedly lured into selling kidneys due to poverty, with brokers offering ₹3–5 lakh and taking victims to Kolkata. Authorities say the racket has operated for years, with some villagers threatened for protesting. Police are continuing the investigation to trace remaining accused and dismantle the network.
