Nameri National Park Gets Facelift to Boost Tourism
Nameri National Park, Assam, received a new entry gate, inaugurated by Forest Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary, constructed at ₹24 lakh. A jeep safari facility was also launched to attract more tourists. Located in Sonitpur district, the park, a tiger reserve since 2000, spans 200 sq km and boasts diverse flora and fauna, including tigers, leopards, and 300 bird species. Last season, it welcomed over 4,000 tourists, generating ₹27 lakh in revenue.
