Namsai Police Recover 34 Children in Suspected Trafficking Probe

Namsai, Arunachal Pradesh: A probe into suspected child trafficking and illegal placement has expanded across Arunachal Pradesh, with Namsai Police tracing and recovering 38 people, including 34 children and four adults, from different locations. Police have also arrested four alleged facilitators as the investigation widens beyond Namsai to parts of Eastern and Central Arunachal Pradesh.

The case, registered as Namsai PS Case No. 54/2026, is being investigated to identify the alleged network involved in the transportation and placement of the victims. Police are examining financial transactions, electronic evidence and transportation links, while the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) and District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) are coordinating care, counselling and rehabilitation for the recovered children.
