Narcotics Worth Rs 21.36 Crore Seized in Kamrup, Five Arrested

Kamrup Police and the Special Task Force seized a huge consignment of narcotics worth around Rs 21.36 crore during a joint operation at Amingaon. Acting on intelligence inputs, officials intercepted a bus coming from Manipur and recovered 2.561 kg of heroin hidden in 197 soap boxes along with 8 kg of opium concealed in a secret compartment.

Five persons from Manipur were arrested in connection with the case. Police said the narcotics were being transported to a neighbouring state through Assam.
