National Human Rights Bureau Urges Compliance at IOCL Petrol Pumps
The National Human Rights and Crime Control Bureau (NHRCCB) raised concerns about the non-compliance of certain Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) petrol pumps with government guidelines. NHRCCB’s State President, Nishant Thard, highlighted the disregard for Clause 18.3 of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas’ Marketing Discipline Guidelines. This clause mandates free air facilities and other customer-centric amenities like clean toilets, first aid boxes, and product quality assurance. The organization emphasized that non-compliance affects customer satisfaction and tarnishes the reputation of corporations. Urging media intervention, NHRCCB called for swift corrective measures to uphold consumer standards. They encouraged customers to inspect petrol pump records for transparency and accountability.
