NDA Seat-Sharing in Assam Likely by March 10: CM Sarma

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday set March 10 as the new deadline to finalise the NDA seat-sharing pact for the Assembly elections. He said talks with the BPF will conclude soon, while discussions with the AGP are expected to finish by March 9–10.

Sarma confirmed that the seat-sharing deal with the RHJSS is already finalised and noted delays due to ongoing Rajya Sabha elections and consultations.

Meanwhile, Assam BJP president Dilip Saikia clarified that no Assembly candidates have been finalised yet and said nominations will be decided by the party’s parliamentary board based on merit, public acceptance and winning potential.
