New Assam Ministers Assigned Portfolios

Four newly inducted Assam ministers received their portfolios following the December 7 oath-taking ceremony.

• Krishnendu Paul: Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, and Public Works Roads.
• Kaushik Rai: Food, Public Distribution, Mines, and Barak Valley Development.
• Prasanta Phukan: Power, Skill Development, and Medical Education.
• Rupesh Goala: Labour Welfare, Tea Tribes Welfare, and Home (Prisons, Civil Defence).

The reshuffle aims to bring focused leadership and innovation to key sectors. Senior ministers also saw portfolio adjustments.
