New Twist in APSC Cash-for-Job Scam: 2014 CCE Officers Interrogated by SIT

Four officers from the 2014 Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) conducted by the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) faced interrogation by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) today in connection with the cash-for-job scam. Among them are an APS officer, two excise superintendents, and one tax superintendent. The interrogation was prompted by anomalies detected in cadre allocation, where some officers received higher cadres despite lower marks compared to other candidates. The SIT, investigating the scam, called upon these officers to discuss the irregularities in cadre allocation based on marks scored. This development adds a new dimension to the ongoing investigation into the APSC scam.
