NF Railway Adds 42 New Train Stoppages Across Assam and West Bengal

The Northeast Frontier Railway has introduced 42 additional train stoppages to improve passenger convenience and regional connectivity across Assam and West Bengal.

In Assam, 32 new halts have been added to 23 trains, including the Brahmaputra Mail, Kamrup Express, North East Express, Kanchanjunga Express and Avadh Assam Express, benefiting stations such as Diphu, Goalpara Town, Kokrajhar and New Haflong.

In West Bengal, 10 stoppages have been provided to eight trains, including the Kanchan Kanya Express, with new halts at Kumedpur, Old Malda and Kanki. NF Railway said the move will improve access for passengers in semi-urban and rural areas and support local economic activity.
