NFR Conducts Eviction Drives to Clear Illegal Encroachments

The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) conducted eviction drives on February 7, 2025, to remove unauthorized encroachments obstructing train operations and safety.

At New Guwahati Complex, 68 illegal quarters were cleared under ACP Chandmari’s supervision, with support from 20 railway officials and 24 police personnel. Four individuals were arrested for re-entering vacated quarters.

A separate drive in Maligaon and Pandu removed 10 illegal railway quarters with assistance from RPF and local police.
