NFR RPF Seizes Contraband Worth ₹8.12 Crore, Nabs 19 Suspects

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) seized contraband worth over ₹8.12 crore and arrested 19 people between January 1 and 31, 2024. Additionally, 15 touts were caught, and 130 railway tickets worth ₹3.02 lakh were recovered. In a joint operation with the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) at Guwahati railway station, a woman was arrested with 360 grams of heroin worth ₹72 lakh. NFR’s RPF continues to remain vigilant against smuggling and illegal activities on trains and at stations.
