NFR Strengthens Monsoon Safety Measures for Smooth Train Services

Northeast Frontier Railway has taken several precautionary measures to ensure safe and uninterrupted train operations during the monsoon season.

The railway deployed watchmen at vulnerable spots, strengthened flood-prone areas, installed water level gauges, and positioned emergency response teams and relief trains for quick action during landslides or track damage.
Materials like boulders, sandbags, and cement have also been stocked across divisions, while coordination with the IMD is being maintained for real-time weather updates.
