Missing Guwahati Woman Returns Home Safely, Says She Went to Shillong Alone

A Guwahati woman, Bhabana Sarma, who had been missing for nearly two days, returned home safely and said she had travelled alone to Shillong while going through severe emotional distress.

In a video statement, she clarified that no outsider or cab driver was involved in her disappearance and admitted that the “in danger” message sent to her family was false. She said she had briefly considered ending her life but later changed her mind and contacted her mother with help from locals.

Bhabana also alleged emotional harassment and threats from a man identified as Nihar Jyoti Sarma during a long-term relationship. She confirmed filing an FIR and is cooperating with the police investigation.
