NHAI to Build Rs 7,000-Crore Guwahati Ring Road to Ease Traffic

NHAI will construct a 121-km Guwahati Ring Road under the BOT model at a cost of Rs 5,729 crore. Assam government will contribute Rs 1,270 crore, taking the total project cost to Rs 7,000 crore. The 30-year contract includes four years of construction. Key features include a 3-km bridge over the Brahmaputra and a 56-km 4-lane Northern Bypass. The project aims to decongest Guwahati and improve regional connectivity.
