NIA and Assam Police Raid JeM Network in Goalpara

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Assam Police Special Task Force conducted raids in Goalpara, targeting areas like Tukura, Barpahar, and Govindpur.

Three individuals were arrested: Zaynal Avedin, an imam from Milanpara, Abu Taleb from Bor Hills, and Sahanur Alam, a computer shop owner in Govindpur. The operation is part of a broader effort to dismantle Jaish-e-Mohammed’s (JeM) radicalisation and recruitment networks in India.

This follows recent raids across the country, including Assam, targeting sleeper cells and extremist activities. Investigations are ongoing to prevent further recruitment and terror activities.
