Night Restrictions Imposed in Cachar Border Areas Amid Extremist Threat

Cachar administration has imposed night-time movement restrictions along the Indo-Bangladesh border following intelligence on extremist activity. Issued under Section 163 of the BNSS, the order prohibits public movement, boating, and transport of essential goods from sunset to sunrise in border areas for two months. Exemptions require official clearance. Patrolling has been intensified in coordination with the BSF.
