NIMAS Team Successfully Navigates Entire Brahmaputra River

A team from Arunachal Pradesh’s NIMAS, led by Col Ranveer Singh Jamwal, achieved a historic feat by successfully navigating the entire 1,040-km stretch of the Brahmaputra River for the first time. The expedition began on January 14 at Gelling, Arunachal Pradesh, and concluded on February 10 at Hatsingimari, Assam.

Braving extreme weather, treacherous rapids, and unpredictable currents, the team of nine rafters and 14 support staff completed the journey in 28 days, with 25 days of intense paddling. The mission, executed under the Ministry of Defence, set a new benchmark in adventure sports and exploration.
