NIT Silchar to Light 1.11 Lakh Diyas in Tribute to Zubeen Garg at Deepotsav 2025

NIT Silchar will celebrate Deepotsav 2025 by lighting 1,11,111 earthen lamps under the theme “Operation Sindoor.” This year’s event will pay tribute to Assam’s music icon Zubeen Garg. Director Prof. Dilip Kumar Baidya said the celebration symbolizes purity, devotion, and unity. Started in 2023 with 5,000 diyas, Deepotsav has grown into a grand cultural festival promoting harmony and national pride.
